Create truly architectural additions to your project by adding custom finishes to your Umbris. Your Umbris can be constructed from a wide range of RAL colours, even the louvres and Umbris structure can be powder coated different colours.

The powder coating process for the Umbris Louvre Roofs is done in sections to ensure a flawless finish that is UV stable and able to be used in marine environment.

Powder coating is a durable and modern finishing option for aluminium structures such as the Umbris Louvre Roof, however due to the bespoke nature of Umbris IQ have developed a range of additional finishing options for a truly unique design finish.

Shou Sugi Ban is the material of choice for fixed horizontal louvres and vertical panels that can be incorporated into your Umbris design. Shou Sugi Ban originates from japan. The process includes burning the timber followed by the sealing process which enhances the longevity and beauty of the product to create the charred crackled effect.

These burnt timber elements are a popular addition to an Umbris Louvre Roof structure as either fixed vertical louvres for wind protection and privacy, or as fixed horizontal louvres that can be cantilevered from your standard Umbris structure for a ‘wow’ design finish.
Corten steel is also a popular material to create a contrast between the smooth powder coated aluminium finish and the uneven and rough finish of the industrial steel.

Using vertical glass panels as vertical elements within Umbris provides wind protection whilst maintaining transparency without interrupting views. Almost any material can be used for the construction of fixed vertical or horizontal louvres.

You could also clad the Umbris structure in any number of timber finishes from the Shou Sugi Ban burnt timber finishes to more traditional timber looks.
If you want to take the timber finishing route further hardwood decking can be used the two high quality hardwood timbers recommended to use are Indonesian Teak and Ipe.
There are so many ways in which you can alter a simple louvre patio roof to your building design or garden space, ensuring the installation is bespoke.
